小籔千豊、竹内涼真と
10月期放送の新ドラマ「陸王」の特別試写会＆舞台挨拶が10月8日（日）、都内にて行われ、主演の役所広司、共演の山崎賢人、竹内涼真らが登壇した。物語の主軸となる老舗業者「こはぜ屋」の倒すべき巨大シューズメーカー「アトランティス」に属す役の小籔千豊は、共演シーンした竹内さんとのエピソードをポロリ。小籔さん曰く、「僕は役作りに入りたいほうなので、あまり話したくないんですけど、竹内さんがいっぱい話しかけてくれる。優しい人やと思いながらも話しかけんといて、って」と明かせば、竹内さんは笑顔で「あれ!?」と小首をかしげた。続けて、小藪さんは「役に没頭したいので、何回か無視しているんですけどねぇ…でも、終わるまでに、どこかで1枚Instagramを撮れたらな、と思っています」と、実は仲良くしたそうなアピールをしていた。
池井戸潤の同名原作をドラマ化した「陸王」は、企業再生を描く感動ストーリー。足袋作り100年の老舗業者「こはぜ屋」の四代目社長・宮沢紘一（役所さん）が、会社の存続を賭けてランニングシューズ「陸王」の開発に挑み、もがく姿を描き出す。本作は、「半沢直樹」、「ルーズヴェルト・ゲーム」、「下町ロケット」など、池井戸作品を手掛けてきたプロデューサーや監督など制作陣が集結した。
この日、特別試写会にて第1話を観客と共に観ていたという登壇陣。宮沢の息子・大地役の山崎さんは、「いい話です。最初は本当にずっと（宮沢と）ぶつかり合っているんですけど…、けど、すごく役所さんは優しいです」と温かいムードを広げた。実業団「ダイワ食品」陸上競技部の部員・茂木裕人役の竹内さんも「こみあげてきそうなので、あまりしゃべりたくない」と感動の面持ち。竹内さんは、「いま見て、本当に感動しましたし、誇りに思いました。最後までもっと死ぬ気で気持ちを入れて、頑張らないと」と、決意を誓った。
15年ぶりのドラマ出演かつ主演となった役所さんだが、「15年くらい前に連続ドラマって大変だなって思っていて。いま、台本を5冊くらい持って頑張っています。いますごく楽しいです。魅力的な人たちばかりなので、毎日ドキドキして刺激をもらいながらやっています」と実感を込めながら、「毎週、盛りだくさんで面白いドラマができ上がっています」と、できに自信をのぞかせた。
そのほか、舞台挨拶には上白石萌音、風間俊介、ピエール瀧も出席した。
日曜劇場「陸王」は10月15日より毎週日曜日21時～TBSにて放送。（初回2時間スペシャル）
